Change Management is a concept that goes hand-in-hand with ERP implementations.

History has proven that ERP implementations are not successful without re-engineering your business.  The ultimate goal of an ERP implementation is to find ways to improve current processes by using the technology you have purchased.

Whenever you attend ERP implementation strategy meetings, one of the first topics you encounter is your Change Management strategy.  Questions arise such as, “How will we prepare our project team?”  “What type of kick off meeting should we have?”  “What is the Corporate message we’d like to communicate to the members of the organization?”  “How will we organize our teams?”  “How will we obtain buy-in from the user community?” “How will we handle process changes?”

One of the most important strategies to define is your change management strategy.  If you fail at preparing the organization for the change that is about to come, you compromise the success of the entire implementation.
